OUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY
From the onset of our Big Bond Roofing Systems Ltd we have continuously cared for the communities in which we operate. Corporate Social Responsibility is at the heart of who we are and what we do. We have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to operating as a socially responsible business and we recognize the active role we play in helping to support and build happier communities and protect our environment.
Our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility is centered on four key areas: Health and Well being, Communities and the Environment.
COVID -19 DONATIONS
Big Bond Roofing Systems Ltd as part of its CSR donated several Veronica Buckets, Hand Sanitizers and soaps to poor communities to allow them maintain good hygiene practices and prevent the contraction and spread of COVID-19.
OUR COMMUNITIES
Located in the heart of Accra is our factory. Here, we live amongst the Ga- Adangbe. Homowo (Hooting at Hunger) festival, is an annual celebration by our local people.
By partnering with chiefs and traditional houses during this festive seasons, we educate the community on the importance of the continuous availability of food, nutrition, diet and a healthier quality of life required to build the economy. We remind the younger generation of the importance of existing farms that provide food, and the connection between food to gain and sustain individual and economic growth and how the onset of famine and starvation could significantly affect and hinder future individual and economic growth.
OUR ENVIRONMENT
We are committed to reducing the impact we have on the environment. We do not limit ourselves to regulatory or legal compliance, but rather recognize the complex interrelated environmental issues and take a holistic approach to sustainable growth.
We religiously monitor, assess and report the environmental performance of our manufacturing and service operations to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Till date, we remain committed and continue to analyze our manufacturing, services and logistics processes for more sustainable methods.
We will continue to assist our communities.
